Last weekend, we saw the twelve very best Prospect teams battle it out in the Playoffs. It was certainly eventful as we saw many upsets with Elysian taking the championship.
Now, let’s take a look back at the Playoffs and some of the standout performers and moments.
Other than the Elysian players themselves, not many predicted Elysian to win the Playoffs. In fact, they were absent from most people’s top six. The rotating roster had a strong start in Group A as they beat The Neon Flamingo and Aardwolf 3-1 before being swept by an unstoppable Fearless Esports.
Though it was an impressive start, they were still not expected to win the whole thing, many favouring Built By Us, RL Ireland and even Fearless Esports who had only lost 1 of their 12 last games in the IEL. Despite this, they exceeded all expectations as they beat Reflux 4-2, RL Ireland 4-1 and eventually getting into the Grand Final where they faced Built By Us.
The final went all the way to Game 7 as Elysian just got the better of Built By Us and secured their status as Prospect Champions. Congratulations!
Note: This is the opinion of the Prospect writers, not the official Playoffs MVP.
Our MVP for the Prospect Playoffs is ClassicalsFinest! The Elysian player was instrumental to Elysian’s success in the Playoffs as he led his team to victory.

There was plenty of amazing moments this weekend, but the best moment has to be the Grand Final going all the way to Game 7. It’s rare that we see a Game 7 final, but Elysian and Built By Us delivered one to us as we saw one of the closest ever Grand Finals in the IEL.
The biggest surprise package in all of Playoffs has to Fearless Esports. Coming into Playoffs as the 10th seed with a record of 10-6, more people predicted them to go out in the Group Stage than to qualify for the Final Bracket. However, they proved everyone wrong as they swiftly moved through their group. They had a slow start as they went to Game 5 against Fort Templar, but after that, they swept the 2nd seed Dexterity and the eventual winners, Elysian.
Though Day 2 was not as successful as they lost 4-3 to Built By Us, they did an amazing job despite their unfavourable seeding and they should be proud of themselves.
